I think I will just let the pictures speak for themselves:

A row of shops:

The Knox Church:

A "Dairy":
Please continue to pray for the people here. The implications of this earthquake are felt now, but will increase with time. There are many lives that have been lost, houses that have been destroyed, jobs that are gone, and for many those things are being threatened.
I don't want you to think I'm telling you this to make you pity the people here, but to know more fully how to pray for them.

We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Silence....

Well, I meant to post MORE now that we're in New Zealand. I really did. I even told people I was.....

However, I didn't take into account the need to be able to plug my computer in to be able to have enough power long enough to download pictures and put them here. For a while we only had one converter, and three of us were plugging in our iTouches, laptops, iPads, etc. Didn't leave a lot of time to plug my netbook in.

Well, I'm glad to say that we now have an extra plug and my netbook is again seeing the wonderfulness of being fully charged.

Be assured that, although I haven't been POSTING pictures, I have, in fact, been TAKING them. They are now languishing on my camera card, where I will remove them and parade them for your perusal in the not very distant future. In short (I love Mr. Micawber), I have pictures and will post them soon.
